Materion Quality Control Technician II in Brewster, New York

The Quality Coordinator works with the entire Quality team to uphold our Quality Management System. This key role will serve as process owner for the administration of our Quality Management System and provide support to documentation, inspection, and analysis to achieve quality goals.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate organization’s-controlled document management systems as a lead. Track, monitor, and alert process owners with controlled document management effectiveness by ISO 9000 Quality Management System’s requirements.

  • Coordinate the organization’s Calibration program in association with third-party calibration service providers. Track, Monitor, and Alert process owners on the effectiveness of the Calibration program.

  • Coordinate analytical sample testing with laboratories.

  • Coordinate training deployment, tracking, and monitoring.

  • Work with plant personnel to review customer specifications and standards, provide analysis regarding our capability levels, and give feedback to help customers optimize their specifications. Prepare reports related to the Quality Management System (QMS) and own complex processes, i.e., calibration, Return Material Authorization, process change control board, Corrective and Preventive action management, customer complaint process, Control of non-conforming material processes, customer qualification questionnaire response, etc.

  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) documentation and associated interactions with customers and their IT portals for management of quality data.

  • Liaison with both internal and external customers on Quality documentation-related requirements.

  • Quality Reporting – Tracking, Monitoring, and communicating performance indicators and trends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office application skills, as well as the ability to swiftly learn new software applications.

  • Outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Project management skills

  • Demonstrated success in process improvement

  • Certification and or working exposure with Six Sigma, ISO 9000, or similar preferred.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S.-controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.

Pay Range:

$22.50 - $31.80

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
