Sr. Product Manager - eCommerce Checkout

Overall Job Summary

As a Senior Product Manager for eCommerce Checkout, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the checkout experience on our eCommerce platform. You will focus on optimizing the checkout funnel to maximize conversion rates, reduce friction, and increase customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI design, engineering, analytics, and marketing, to build and launch features that make our checkout experience seamless, efficient, and delightful.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Develop and Own the Product Strategy: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the eCommerce checkout experience. Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

  • Drive Conversion Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the checkout funnel, reduce cart abandonment by 10%, and increase conversion rates by 15% through data analysis, customer feedback, and A/B testing.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineering, design, analytics, operations, and marketing teams to define, build, and launch new features and improvements to the checkout process.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and insights to drive decisions. Establish 3 key metrics and KPIs to measure the success of checkout-related initiatives.

  • Enhance Payment & Security Experience: Work closely with payment providers, fraud prevention, and security teams to ensure a seamless and secure payment experience for our customers.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Advocate for the customer at every stage of the product development process. Conduct user research, gather feedback, and prioritize features that improve customer satisfaction.

  • Manage Stakeholder Expectations: Communicate the product vision, strategy, and progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Foster alignment and transparency across the organization.

  • Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in eCommerce, payment, and checkout experiences to drive innovation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on eCommerce checkout, payments, or related areas.

  • Proven track record of driving significant conversion improvements in eCommerce or a similar environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making, A/B testing, and familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.

  • Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a matrixed environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience working with payment gateways, fraud prevention tools, and third-party checkout solutions is a plus.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Strong eCommerce background with emphasis on mobility

  • Ability to lead and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Ability to develop product strategies by understanding key business objectives; diagnosing and mapping requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project Experience with modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills
