Description

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Brentwood, New Hampshire. This role focuses on handling various accounting tasks such as A/P, A/R, filing, data entry, and time & material billing. The position is a contract role, offering an opportunity to work within a thriving company.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Conduct filing and data entry tasks to maintain organized and updated records.

• Manage billing functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded and processed correctly.

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and operations.

• Handle time and materials billing, ensuring all invoices are sent out timely and accurately.

• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to accounting tasks.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure all financial data is accurate.

• Monitor financial transactions and reports to detect any errors.

• Support the accounting team with any additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Demonstrated experience in Billing Functions is essential for the role.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software is required.

• An understanding of Time and Materials Billing is required.

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, a degree in a related field is preferred.

• Previous experience in an accounting role would be a strong advantage.
