Naval Facilities Engineering Command UTILITY SYSTEMS REPAIRER-OPERATOR LEADER in Bremerton, Washington

Summary You will serve as a UTILITY SYSTEMS REPAIRER-OPERATOR LEADER in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC NORTHWEST. Responsibilities You will establish work priorities (e.g., deadlines, work sequence, work assignments) for utility system work You will inspect utility system work areas for compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations. You will lead personnel in performing utility repairs and correcting deficiencies identified during operation and inspection. You will coordinate utility system work among workers to maintain work progress and meet schedules. Read and interpret measurement devices (e.g., flow meters, thermometers, charts to ensure proper operation of utility systems including saltwater, freshwater, sewer and compressed air. Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including: 1) Operating, maintaining and repairing, at the Journeyman level, large high pressure, high temperature, duel fuel fired steam generating plants and auxiliary equipment including compressed air, emergency diesel generators, potable and waste water plants, and electric distribution systems/ equipment; 2) Maintaining and reviewing operational logs and data; and 3) Adhering to required safety and housekeeping standards.
