Technical Support Specialist

Position Description: 

Provide in-depth user support for technical issues or questions related to computer hardware, software and related components through our technology Help Desk and on-site visits.  Collaborate with team members across department functional groups to maintain infrastructure systems and complete projects.  End user support will be the primary daily function of this position.  Must provide own transportation to work sites.  Mileage reimbursement is available.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of end-user technical support experience.  Experience should include installing and supporting various operating systems and application software, performing diagnostic and troubleshooting duties with both hardware and software.

Valid Washington State Driver's License.

Ability and willingness to travel to all District sites.

In-depth working knowledge of personal computer systems, related peripheral devices, software and various system utility applications. Integration of enterprise services with personal mobile devices as appropriate.

Awareness of managed Enterprise cloud platforms.

Industry certifications:  CompTia A+ (or equivalent) and HDI Support Center Analyst or ability to obtain within one year.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to:

Work effectively with a variety of people in a team environment.

Take direction and focus on the task at hand.

Walk, stand, bend and/or twist at the trunk; stoop/squat/kneel; reach forward; repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times.
