In Mondelez’s Digital Services (MDS) , you will connect and empower your BU business partners with every aspect of our global MDS organization through excellence in process, technology, and services. You will partner with business stakeholders across all functions to understand business objectives and IT/Service opportunities. You work with the Sr. Director MDS DACH and Central & Eastern Europe BUs to co-create business digital strategy. You will partner with the broader MDS organization (and business) to define roadmaps, oversee execution, and ensure sufficiency of support models. You will have direct impact on digital maturity of the BUs and for unlocking business value (sales, cost, cash) via MDS solution portfolio.

How you will contribute

The Sr. Manager MDS DACH and Central & Eastern Europe BUs is a member of the Mondelēz Europe (MEU) MDS Extended Leadership Team, located in Bremen, Germany. It is a highly visible role that bridges between BU leadership, BU business stakeholders and Global MDS function. As a face of MDS in the BU the span of accountability is very wide from infrastructure & Cyber Security, through global solutions (e.g. SAP) and services (e.g. Order to Cash) all the way to local IT applications. This includes financial health behind existing solutions and portfolio of projects. It is a single contributor role with possible growth to people manager in the future. The role is also responsible to ensure compliance of all digital initiatives activated in the markets with local labor and data privacy law, including support in obtaining approval by Works Council (in partnership with HR). The role reports to Sr. Director, MDS DACH and Central & Eastern Europe BUs, which is the Head of Digital for those BUs.

Key responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with MDS Functional Leads (e.g. D&A, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) to track and review the critical issues faced by Business across local market

  • Owns Operational Excellence sessions to review critical issues with Global and Regional Leads

  • Partners with senior business and MDS stakeholders and link with local and regional MDS leads to resolve escalations and prioritization of work.

  • Responsible for communication around deployment of global MDS policies and new ways of working impacting the Business.

  • Responsible for implementing and running the MDS governance with the business

BU Digital Strategy

  • Develops an intimate understanding of the local business and market sales strategy and connect with MDS Function Leads to trigger relevant initiatives.

  • Works closely and aligns with regional MDS Function Leads on application and technology strategy to prioritize investments in support of the local market business strategic needs.

  • Partners with business and MDS stakeholders and links with local and regional MDS leads for new projects and requests.

  • Owns the MDS agenda/input and delivery of special BU cross functional projects.

Portfolio Management

  • Collaborate with Global and MEU Portfolio team for the BU Portfolio details. Manage the impact to the BU of MEU or Global initiatives

  • Manage, track, and review the local Portfolio with regards to Status, Finances, and timelines.

  • Liaise with Stakeholders – Global Portfolio team, Region MDS Functional Leads

Engagement & MDS Site Leadership

  • Has a duty of care over the MDS population in the BU

  • Works collaboratively with hub / village leads to progress engagement / wellbeing activities within the BU

  • Owns or finds a suitable delegate (i.e. MDS Site services) to manage site specific matters within the remit of its BU

What you will bring

Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • Strong experience in MDS or business functions / IT in the consumer goods industry

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.

  • Experience with senior level stakeholder management across the regional and market teams

  • Experienced in business strategy formulation, IT strategy formulation, business scenario development, and innovation.

  • Experience with analytics and/ or digital strategy

  • Knowledge of forecasting, modeling, and scenario development tools and techniques

  • Competent in business case development, business domain analysis, IT governance formulation, new technology evaluation, and IT risk management

  • Should be challenging and possess ability to convince and manage stakeholders

  • Fluent in English and German

We seek a dynamic, technology savvy and business-oriented IT professional with a strong track record of business engagement, leading successful transformation and technology strategies at the market/region level in a multi-national business. A perfect candidate will have growth mindset, thrive in ambiguity and constantly question status quo to unlock more business value with digital. They will also have the courage and change management skills to bring his/her business partners along.

Other Position Parameters

  • The role reports to the Sr. Director, MDS DACH and Central & Eastern Europe BUs, and is a member of the MDS MEU Extended Leadership Team.

  • The position is mandatorily located in Bremen, Germany.

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .

No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
