At Amgen Breda medicines are labelled, assembled, stored and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1,000 people with 42 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

What you will do

As Manager Warehouse Operations , you will lead and develop the Outbound team to ensure on-time, in full supply against schedules, goals, and budgets. In addition, you will take on the daily management of all material movements to and from our External Warehouses. Working within GMP/GDP and EH&S compliance, you will foster a culture of safety, inclusion, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage, coach and develop the 'Outbound’ team on quality (SOP Compliance), safety (Safety Behavior Program) and task execution.

  • Hire qualified staff and build the best team, maintain engagement and commitment through regular one-on-one interactions with individual team members.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to enable uninterrupted execution of ABR’s manufacturing process and resolve escalated issues.

  • Manage the daily material flow to and from our External Warehouses and act a s first point of contact.

  • Drive process improvements using operational excellence practices and LEAN tools like leader standard work, daily hot topics meetings, and short interval control boards.

  • Actively team up with your peer managers (for Inbound & Returns and PWO Picking & Preparation) to address operational issues, work on area improvement initiatives, and support audits and inspections.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a dynamic professional with these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain and 6–8 years’ experience in warehouse operations or performance improvement; or a Master’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical).

  • Expertise in ERP and WMS systems (e.g., SAP WM), LEAN principles, and problem-solving tools (e.g., Six Sigma).

  • Proficiency in analytical tools like MS Excel, coupled with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with GMP and GDP standards.

  • Potential to grow into a Senior Manager position.
