Responsibilities
Responsible for pre-analytic, analytic and post analytic collection and processing of samples.
Must be able to properly maintain and operate instrumentation and equipment.
Will perform quality control and interpret results as well as follow up with corrective action when needed.
Will perform patient testing, review results and release results accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Will run proficiency testing samples as required by compliance.
Other responsibilities will include answering phone calls and ordering testing in the LIS.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree
Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification recognized by American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist or American Association of Biolanalysts within 6 months of hire
or
Associates Degree
Medical Laboratory Technician Certification recognized by American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist or American Association of Biolanalysts within 6 months of hire
Preferred
6-12 months lab experience
Pay Range
$22.46 - $32.56 /hour
