Service Champions Plumbing Install Lead Technician in Brea, California

Job Summary:

Service Champions is looking for a dynamic Plumbing Installation Lead Technician. This professional technician will be handling and managing installs; ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in every project. The ideal candidate should thoroughly know residential plumbing code concepts, be organized, detail-oriented, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of self, crew, employer vehicles, equipment, and customer homes.

  • Work independently with little supervision, meeting deadlines and completing assignments.

  • Collaborate with the Plumbing Manager, Plumbing Supervisor and Plumbing Admin for feedback and solutions.

  • Update employee job skills with the Plumbing Supervisor to maximize scheduling efficiencies.

  • Maintain team job site performance according to company Ethics.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Enforce all company field policies and procedures within the assigned team.

  • Train and coach team members to build a stronger team.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of plumbing repair and installation using standard tools and equipment.

  • Exhibit strong writing skills with a focus on technical accuracy and clarity.

  • Apply and monitor appropriate safety practices and procedures.

    Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of previous residential plumbing experience.

  • Profound knowledge of all plumbing installations.

  • Ability to lead teams of installers to successful job completion.

  • Evaluate assigned install team personnel on job performance and provide field coaching.

  • Demonstrate practical communication skills with customers, install team members, dispatch, and management.

  • Satisfactory passing of pre-employment screens and physical.

  • Valid driver's license with minimal DMV infractions.

    Work Conditions:

  • Regularly required to use hands, reach, and talk or hear.

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs.

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.

  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.

  • Work performed in residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof).

  • Frequent standing, squatting, sitting for extended periods.

  • Moderate exposure to physical risk.

  • Occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders and balance.

    Physical Requirements:

  • The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.

  • Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.

  • Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.

  • Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).

  • May work in closed or cramped space on occasion
