Job Description: Manufacturing Planner SUMMARY The Manufacturing Planner create working instructions that provide detailed information (routers) for manufacturing of components and assemblies per customer provided prints and specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and analyze technical drawings to develop manufacturing traveler

Provides technical guidance to manufacturing operations Consult with Leads and Engineers to develop accurate schedule durations for each component of the build cycle.

Provides technical guidance to Quality to help resolve non-conformances, corrective actions, and rework

Participate in estimating and quoting process, as required

Knowledge in outside processes (heat treating, anodizing, coating, plating, NDT) as part of developing manufacturing process and completion

Knowledge of aerospace welding (MIL-Specs and AWS 17.1) Assign proper materials to jobs with attention to alloy, series, thickness, board sizes and grain/pattern directions. Understanding of advanced machine operations and distinguishing proper tooling to assign for each machining action. Generates bills of material necessary for the assembly of products designed. Participates in the preparation of CNC programs for production QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position does not have any supervisory roles. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in engineering preferred with emphasis in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical disciplines. 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of the principles and practices of manufacturing in aerospace/manufacturing environment and experience with US Government regulations and flow downs is strongly preferred. GDandT knowledge and application a plus. COMPUTER Working knowledge of Solidworks, CAD/CAM, Quality reporting systems, ERP Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, email, and database management tools LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, purchase order, contracts, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to work mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, determined test reliability and validity. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and concrete variables.
