Amazon is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst, firmly grounded in accounting, to be the reporting and analytics owner for accounts receivables, working alongside our Finance Operations Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team.

In this high-visibility role, you'll be a key strategic partner, collaborating with stakeholders from global FOAA, Accounting, and Finance Operations to prepare dynamic financial analyses that inform mission-critical decision making. Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2400 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Key job responsibilities

• Compile financial statement analytics of accounts receivables.

• Monitor general ledger account balances, deep dive, explain fluctuations and understand underlying business events.

• Provide month end close analytics, for example for general ledger account balances or YoY movements as well as external audit support.

• Manage and lead balance sheet reviews with Senior Leadership.

• Collaborate with global Accounting and Finance Operations teams to resolve accounting issues.

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting.

• Proven familiarity with concepts of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

• Experience in large corporation general ledger accounting.

• Excellent English language written and oral communication skills with an ability to concisely summarize relevant data and convey results by effectively articulating complex messages.

• Advanced analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

• Advanced Excel user.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Accounting or Finance.

• Accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA).

• Expert level Excel skills and experience in financial reporting and data mining tools such as Cognos, Essbase, SQL, etc.

• Advanced understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payables process flows and how to transfer such processes in an accounting framework.
