Short Term Demand Planner Temp Contract

Are you ready to join an outstanding team within the LEGO Benelux Business Unit, as a demand planner? Accountable for delivering the short term demand plan for the Benelux market, you also support regional colleagues to build the long term forecasts. Your work is key to an effective BU S&OP process, helping the business to deliver its commercial targets!

Core Responsibilities

  • Building upon a statistical forecast you will deliver a demand plan for a significant part of the BU’s revenue covering a 4 to 10 month horizon.

  • The forecast covers both Consumers Sales and Customer Sell In at customer group / SKU level

  • Ensure demand plans accurately reflect known marketing activities, product launch timings and promotional activities both LEGO and customer funded

  • Support the sales team and brand marketing team in their commercial planning for the full horizon, ensuring alignment of assumptions. This will include monthly BU Sales and Brand Assumptions Review meetings

  • Ensure visibility of key business assumptions

  • Set appropriate forecast exception message parameters and respond to forecast exception messages as part of your daily routine

  • Ensure weekly data is uploaded into the planning system in a timely basis

  • Support the effective life cycle management of products by ensuring launch plans are correctly reflected within the demand planning tools

  • Accurately forecast Consumer Sales and Customer Sell In, key metrics include spread of forecast error and the level of bias

  • Furthermore you will support the BU S&OP processes, playing an active role in gap closing and helping to prepare arguments

  • Ensure effective communication with Market Group demand planning ensuring top down strategies are understood within the BUs whilst also providing the Market Group demand planners with clarity of key BU specific initiatives across the full forecasting horizon

Do you have what it takes?

  • Understanding of statistics and strong analytical skills.

  • Solid experience of working within a consumer packaged goods or FMCG environment (Demand Planning / Supply Planning experience is a big plus)

  • Able to assimilate multiple data inputs and resolve a most likely outcome

  • Confident and engaging communication skills – able to communicate in a way that makes the complex simple.

  • Great collaboration skills

  • Confident user of Excel (Pivot tables, Filters, Formulas…Macros / VBA would be outstanding but not a requirement).

  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.

The position is based in our office in Brasschaat, B E, we are able to provide either BE or NL contract based on the candidate’s residency.
