How you’ll make an impact:

The Manager of Inventory Control oversees inventory accuracy, quality, and compliance for multiple shifts, managing cycle counts, returns, slotting, and non-standard inventory movements while ensuring adherence to procedures and safety standards. This role oversees a team focused on inventory control, returns processing, and vendor compliance.

This role leads and develops 5 Inventory Control supervisors and oversees an average of 150 Inventory Control associates. The position is a full-time, onsite position based at our Braselton Distribution Center and supports across all four-operating shift with occasional need for night/weekend/holiday hours and occasional travel to Buckhead and/or other DCs.

Inventory Control and FTZ - 75%

  • Oversee and manage inventory accuracy, quality, and compliance across all shifts, including performance metrics and internal/external standards.

  • Lead cycle count activities at unit and location levels, ensuring frequency, documentation, productivity, and accuracy for all shifts.

  • Manage all vendor and customer return processes, focusing on service quality, accuracy, and cost metrics.

  • Communicate inventory performance, productivity, and issues effectively across daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly intervals.

  • Supervise non-standard inventory movements and ensure strict adherence to procedures with prompt reporting of compliance issues.

  • Maintain optimal workflow, safety, and associate performance in assigned areas.

  • Evaluate and drive employee performance through coaching, leadership (lead by example), proper planning, effective communication and providing clear and attainable expectations all while using the company guidelines.

  • Through continuous improvement methodology, improve inventory/quality processes that will improve associate morale, service, cost per unit, quality and/or accuracy.

Other - 25%

  • Effectively manage competing priorities by business units (corporate) and departments (facility).

  • Actively own safety (incidents, near misses, accidents, awareness, etc.) through full participation in all safety related matters (meetings, supporting initiatives, investigations, etc.).

  • Assist with other projects as required.

  • Evaluate and drive direct reports performance through coaching, leadership (lead by example), proper planning, effective communication and providing clear and attainable expectations.

  • Through continuous improvement methodology, improve processes that will improve morale, service, cost per unit, quality and/or accuracy.

Must have:

  • BS/BA degree in a related field, preferred or 5-7 years of managerial level experience distribution centers

  • Proven leadership ability (focus on being proactive, leading/driving change, repeatedly achieving given goals, motivating people, and coaching/developing people.

  • Requires strong analytical abilities and proven leadership skills.

  • Comprehensive understanding of modern distribution center technologies.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong customer focus with a track record of effectively identifying, understanding, aligning with, delivering to, and following up with both internal and external customers.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic environment while keeping clear focus on priorities

  • Experience leading large teams of both non-exempt and exempt members.

  • Experience working within a sophisticated Information Technology (IT) structure.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic environment while keeping a clear focus on priorities in Supply Chain/DC environment

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
