Emerson Quality Assurance Technician (12 Months) in BRANTFORD, Ontario

If you are looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Brantford, ON location, you will expand your technical and professional skills and provide general administrative support to our Quality Department.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Be responsible for document management and tracking, keeping documents up to date and ensure that they meet regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with document owners in other departments

  • File and maintain any incoming supplier documents

  • Assist with process audits, review procedures, help develop work instructions and support training for users.

  • Assist with internal audits, tracking, reporting and communications

  • Maintain regulatory file updates and assist in regulatory audits

  • Provide quality and technical support as required

  • Support the Quality Department in other various related tasks and projects

  • Responsible for timely inspection of parts/materials required for customer orders.

  • Responsible for processing of non-conforming parts, including inventory transactions, communicating with suppliers, and creating/tracking RMA’s.

  • Responsible for the gauge calibration process.

  • Responsible for the completion of customer required Certificates of Compliance.

  • Assist with the process of customer returned parts.

  • Assist with identifying and driving quality related process improvements.

WHO YOU ARE: You use more problem-solving tools. You utilize analytical tools to help explore potential scenarios. You know to prepare for unexpected outcomes and try different solutions. You learn to streamline processes and cut out redundancy.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • 2+ years working in similar role in quality assurance, quality engineering, and industrial/mechanical engineering

  • Post-secondary education in Industrial/Mechanical and/or Quality Engineering.

  • Industrial Manufacturing or Service industry experience.

  • Proficient with using various applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with the use of measuring devices, such as ring and plug gauges, calipers, etc.

  • Able to work fulltime during work hours

  • Able to work in Canada without needing sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Strong administrative skills and experience.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Project Management Skills would be an asset

  • Familiarity with MRP transactions and asset.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 would be an asset.
