Primary Role:
E nsure the successful production actives of a department. Manage the daily production related to KPI’s for the department. Support a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham’s Core Values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel
Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility
Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process
Follow training and cross training program and implement for production staff
Responsible for production, meeting daily schedule to insure on time delivery while minimizing overtime
Maintain a high level of quality by doing regular inspections of products
Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements to solve the problems.
Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager
Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Facilitate daily shift meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of HS Diploma with experience; Management or Technical college degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering related function
Computer and keyboarding skills -Excel, Databases, and Word Processing
Experience with payroll systems is a plus
Ability to read blueprints
Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours or weekends
Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired
Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations
Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly
