Sioux Valley Energy Information Systems Specialist in Brandon, South Dakota
Sioux Valley Energy is hiring an Information Systems Specialistto join our team at either our Colman or Brandon, SD service centers.
Experience in Windows applications and network environments preferred. Experience in training others in computer applications preferred. Experience with Internet applications, system integration of voice and data, phone systems, and Ethernet networking technology helpful. Must have practical working knowledge of internal operations of a network computer system, PC, and associated peripheral equipment. Must have working knowledge of Windows applications and server network system. Should be familiar with the following software packages: Windows desktop and server, Microsoft Office applications, and SQL.
Must have the ability to handle a variety of diverse tasks and organize work to meet deadlines. Must be skilled at project management. Should be proficient in the use of personal computers. Good communications skills, both written and oral, are required. Must be a problem solver, organized and future-oriented. Ability to make minor repairs to computers, printers and peripheral equipment required.
Bachelor of Science or Arts from an accredited college or university in Information Systems or other computer-related field preferred. Equivalent technical training and experience will be considered.
Reporting Location: Colman or Brandon service center. Some remote work may be available after fully trained.
