  • Screens telephone calls. Handles calls tactfully and/or determines which subordinates or other departments are best suited to handle call. Takes telephone messages.
  • Utilizes word processing software to create, update, and prepare for distribution correspondence, memorandums, presentations, reports, agendas, articles, binders, charts/graphs, logs, lists, worksheets, etc.
  • Proofreads final work to ensure a high quality product.
  • Maintains close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the principal(s). Relieves principal(s) of routine administrative duties.
  • Opens and distributes mail. Maintains and coordinates executive's calendar and diary system.
  • Arranges and coordinates travel, expense reporting and/or meeting plans. Greets visitors when appropriate.
  • Maintains filing system and secures confidential information.
  • Keys information into system, follows-up for missing information, processes check requests, attends meetings and takes meeting minutes.
  • Performs work and/or projects associated with department ie., organizing events, road shows, department moves, meetings/activities, orders supplies, processes memberships/dues, invoices.
  • Screens visitors for executive.
  • Complies and analyzes data, develops and distributes reports, may perform licensing function, prepares and files government reports/statistics/filings, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient with a variety of software/hardware including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Experience in establishing a LAN based file system for investment documents would be a plus.
  • College degree preferred.

  • 5+ years executive secretarial experience.

The expected starting salary range for this role is$59,000 - $85,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
