SUMMARY

The position of Manual Lathe Machinist is responsible for the set up and operation to machine internal and external diameters and forms on steel injection mold components.

 

Day Shift: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm ( Monday to Friday) 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operate a Manual Lathe

  • Interpret engineering drawings to determine specifications, set up and operating requirements

  • Complete first run inspection and complete spot checks for conformance to specifications

  • Ensure effective production of quality parts by completing in-process and final checks using gauges and measuring equipment

  • Work to defined tolerances

  • Ability to work with Fanuc Controls

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ year of relevant hands-on machining experience, preference in a machine shop setting

  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings

  • Strong in math and computer skills

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
