Penmac Staffing Services Watercraft Inspectors- Aitkin County- Starts in May in Brainerd, Minnesota

Watercraft Inspectors serve to inform and educate the public to the threats of aquatic invasive species to Minnesota waters. Inspectors work at public water access sites educating the public by providing information to watercraft users. Inspectors will conduct a brief survey while inspecting watercraft for invasive species. Level I Watercraft Inspector: This position requires you to attend and pass a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR) inspection training course in-person and online. Level ll Watercraft Inspector: This position requires you to complete a MN DNR decontamination training course in addition to a MN DNR Inspection training course. The Level ll inspector will have the same responsibilities as a Level l inspector, and be certified to perform decontamination services using hot, high-pressure water to decontaminate watercraft. Responsibilities of Level l and Level ll Watercraft Inspectors: Educate the public of aquatic invasive species issues. Inspect watercraft for invasive species. Conduct a verbal survey while inspecting watercraft Document research activities Communicate effectively with the public Work outside at the public water access sites Provide great customer service.
