Full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology, beginning Fall 2024

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is seeking a full-time visiting assistant professor of mechanical engineering technology in the physical and computational sciences division, beginning in Fall 2024.

*Requirements: Ph.D. or ABD (expected completion by August 2024) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field, strongly committed to teaching undergraduates. Scholarship, advising, and service activities are required. Experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is required; relevant work experience and three to five years of university-level teaching experience are strongly preferred. *

*Responsibilities: Applicants must be able to teach 12 credits per semester in Engineering at the undergraduate level. Applicants for this position must be able to teach classes offered by Pitt-Bradford's four-year Mechanical Engineering Technology Program and the two-year engineering transfer programs. Courses to be taught may include Intro to Engineering Analysis, Intro to Engineering Computing, Linear Circuits and Systems, Sensors and Automation, Materials and Lab, Mechanics of Materials, Digital Logic, and Technical Calculus. Candidates experienced in working with college students from diverse backgrounds and with applied experience in the field of expertise are encouraged to apply. *
