Universal Health Services SHIFT SUPERVISOR PART-TIME in BRADENTON, Florida

Responsibilities

Palm Shores is accepting applications for a part-time Shift Supervisor for Friday and Saturday Nights (11pm-7:30 am).

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.

The Shift Supervisor performs supervisory functions over all Mental Health Techs and direct patient care duties in a residential behavioral health setting. The Shift Supervisor ensures facility policies are enforced. This position also handles all MHT call offs and schedules replacement. The shift supervisor steps into ratio as needed.

  • $19.75 starting hourly wage plus shift dif. Hourly rate increases with verifiable experience and bachelor's degree.

  • Schedule: 11pm - 7:30 pm; Friday and Saturday.

  • Full-time is available by working 3rd shift as MHT.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (required).

  • Minimum 1 year as a MHT or shift supervisor in health-care.

  • Must be able to set and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintain therapeutic boundaries during treatment and following discharge.

  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow: policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.

  • May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

  • Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 7 days of employment.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
