Boehringer Ingelheim National Account Manager - E-retail in Bracknell Forest, United Kingdom

THE POSITION

You will be responsible for delivering profitable growth in line with/or above budget for the Pet portfolio within national key e-retailers. You will facilitate customer partnerships that enable shopper growth via conditionalised promotional and trade marketing activation plans. You will build a deep understanding of the customer and their shoppers to position our pet products as the leading products in their category. You will position BI as the strategic partner of choice to deliver long term category growth within the E-retailer.

This is a Field Based position with circa once weekly travel required.

TASK & RESPONSIBILITES

• Achieve net sales revenue targets, ensuring investments are set within budget parameters

• Understand the profit contribution of the retailer to the business, and act accordingly to drive profit

• Achieve market share targets and understand the market share dynamics in the accounts; identify trends early and propose solutions to gaps or promote gains

• Evaluate return on investment of all activities and make recommendations for future investment improvement

• Track progress against budget, identify gaps and close quickly to deliver results required

• Build and agree (with leadership team and the customer) Joint Business Plans in a timely manner in line with brand strategy and budget, and review these plans quarterly with the customer

• Provide a monthly forecast to within 80% accuracy by SKU for your accounts

• Deliver on net distribution targets, share of secondary space, share of promotions and share of shelf targets

• Demonstrate an understanding of the market and the brand and ensure plans are developed to maximise the shopper experience and opportunity to purchase

• Develop robust activation plans which are aligned to the wider business and brand objectives, considering profitability at all times

• Make the account plan a reality, track progress and demonstrate proactivity if deviation predicted

• Ensure logistics are set up to deliver for the needs of the customer

• Forecast and track progress of rebate actuals against forecast and report on deviations and proposed solutions where required.

• Management of issues related to rebates direct with the customer

REQUIREMENTS

• Retail National Account Management Experience

• Understanding of trade marketing and commercial planning

• Analytical experience

• Proven relationship and stakeholder management skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent orgnisational abilities
