One Health Pharmacy Technician-in-Training or Certified in Bozeman, Montana

One Health is looking for someone who is dedicated to their patients and wants to work alongside others to provide amazing care after they have seen one of our providers and entrust us with helping to fulfill their follow up care.

As a Pharmacy Technician-in-Training , you'll be supporting our licensed pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications and other pharmaceuticals to patients, healthcare providers and customers. You'll be performing administrative duties as well, including answering phones, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory.

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician , you'll be working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to perform a variety of technical procedures to assist in providing pharmacy services, including processing of prescription refill requests, typing prescription labels, counting and pouring medications, maintaining prescription inventories, and other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION: $18.28- $19.49 (in-training), $19.30-$20.51 (certified) hr/ DOE + $3.50/hr for Bozeman differential

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

AVAILABILITY: Monday to Friday

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certificates/Licenses : TECH IN TRAINING

Required

  • Montana Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license (acquired within 60 days of hire).

  • Acquire Montana Certified Technician license before Montana Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license expires within timeframe determined by Montana Board of Pharmacy.

  • BLS certification upon hire

  • Valid driver’s license

    Facets of Prescription Preparation

    Reads and interprets providers’ orders received in the pharmacy and enters in the pharmacy software.

  • To include Durable Medical Equipment (DME) prescriptions

    Prepares, in accordance with pharmacy law and standards of pharmacy practice, outpatient prescriptions to be dispensed.

    Work is verified by a licensed pharmacist.

    Uses electronic medical record to access necessary patient information.

    Assists in keeping patient profiles current.

    Performs duties as assigned by Licensed Pharmacist.

    Medication Inventory Management

    Assists in maintaining a cost-effective pharmacy inventory.

    Performs all functions related to ordering medications and supplies.

  • In addition to placing orders this includes receiving in orders, putting orders away and appropriately filing associated paperwork.

    Helps stock medications in clinic departments.

    Checks and removes outdated medications.

    Participates in a total Pharmacy inventory at the end of the fiscal year.

    Pharmacy Operations

    Assists in keeping procedures current in pharmacy tech manual.

    Assists in filing appropriate records.

    Performs insurance reconciliation on a weekly basis.

    Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement projects

    Maintains standards of pharmacy practice equal to or above those accepted by professional ethics, and federal/state regulatory agencies.

    Attendance:

    Ensures attendance and hours worked are accurately recorded per policy

    Properly manages paid time off according to One Health policy

    Responsible for regular, predictable attendance and to work hours as scheduled, which may include evenings or weekends.

    Other:

  • Must comply with HIPAA guidelines.
