Brief Position Overview

The Administrative Associate III position at Student Health Services provides an important team role. This position reports to the Patient Services Manager, provides daily support to the Front Office and the rest of the Medical Services. Provides the clinic with the functions of appointment scheduling, answering a multi-line phone, maintaining the electronic health record, immunization compliance, cashiering, and customer service. Strong communication skills are important.

Position Details

General Statement

This position supports the functions of appointment scheduling, electronic medical record management, immunization compliance, cashiering, customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow front office policies and procedures regarding medical records, patient scheduling, maintaining the computerized appointment system, cashier duties, and other related responsibilities as required.

  • Facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff.

  • Maintain confidentiality of medical information.

  • Ensure compliance with University policies and state laws regarding immunization requirements.

    Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated entry to mid-level administrative support and/or clerical experience with customer service, communication and other administrative duties or an equivalent amount of education and/or experience.

  • Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing multiple work loads, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional approach.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of medical ethics regarding confidentiality and legal protocols.

  • Experience working in a medical office.

  • A passion for working in college health and/or with the student population.

  • Comfort and confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
