Assistant Teaching Professor, Education Librarian Bowling Green State University Salary: Depends on Qualifications Job Type: Full-Time Faculty Division: University Libraries Opening Date: 11/14/2024 Location: Main Campus (BG), OH Job Number: BGSU00612 Department: University Libraries Closing: Summary Bowling Green State University (BGSU) invites applications for an Education Librarian with faculty rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Special Collections (SC) within the University Libraries (UL) and is a full time, twelve-month renewable, non-tenure track qualified rank faculty appointment. The SC Department is seeking an individual who is collaborative and has a working knowledge of juvenile literature. This position will include library instruction, reference, and collection development. The primary duties include teaching and collaborating with others to develop programs and events that bring patrons to the Curriculum Resource Center. Information about Program and College The Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) is a collection of high-quality materials for educators to use with learners in grades preK-12. Award-winning juvenile literature, engaging curriculum materials, and handson manipulatives provide valuable learning resources for educators to use with students. The unit consists of the head librarian, a faculty librarian, two classified staff, and student assistants. Bowling Green State University Libraries is a founding and active member of OhioLINK, a consortium of 117 libraries at 88 institutions plus the State Library of Ohio. Jerome Library) in social sciences, humanities, and sciences; government documents; the Curriculum Resource Center; and is home to three nationally prominent special collections: the Browne Popular Culture Library, the Center for Archival Collections, which includes the Historical Collections of the Great Lakes, and the Music Library and Bill Schurk Sound Archives.
