Assistant Clinical Professor - Communication Sciences and Disorders Bowling Green State University Salary: Depends on Qualifications Job Type: Full-Time Faculty Division: Col of Health & Human Services Opening Date: 01/07/2025 Location: Main Campus (BG), OH Job Number: BGSU00649 Department: Col of Health & Human Services Closing: Summary The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CDIS) at Bowling Green State University is seeking applications for a qualified rank, non-tenure track, Assistant Clinical Professor position, starting August 2025. This is a full-time, academic year (nine-month) appointment with possible summer employment, if desired. Our department's faculty members are engaged in a wide range of teaching and research activities, including doctoral mentoring, innovative pedagogies and the scholarship of teaching and learning, and national and international research collaborations. The department has ties with BGSU's J. P. Scott Center for Neuroscience, Mind and Behavior and many other departments and programs across campus. The Speech & Hearing Clinic is an integral part of our master's clinical education, and we have community partnerships expanding opportunities for our students' clinical experiences. The Speech & Hearing Clinic is open to the public including to people of all ages, people from diverse backgrounds, and people who are underserved, and as such, is committed to diversity and inclusion in clinical service delivery. Information about Program and College The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is one of five departments/schools in the College of Health and Human Services. The Department offers a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in communication disorders. The master's program received CAA reaccreditation for 2019-2027. CDIS has approximately 130 undergraduate, 46 master's, seven doctoral, and two M.S.-Ph.D. Pathway students. It has eight full-time tenured and tenure­ track faculty members, two full-time QRF (non-tenure-track) faculty members, four part-time clinical instructors, a full-time clinic director, and a part-time audiologist. The Department's Speech and Hearing Clinic is a well-equipped and modern facility, with a state-of-the-art video system installed in 2019. The College is growing, with new classrooms and other facilities that were completed in 2016.
