The Office of Admissions is seeking applications for Coordinator. This highly organized and detail-oriented person will be responsible for providing general administrative support within the department to assist in efficient and effective daily operations while working daily with diverse projects. This position will serve as a contact point for other offices across campus as well as outside agencies in their interactions with office administration.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
Assists the AVP for Enrollment Management and other departmental leaders with specific assignments and special projects. Assists in planning, coordinating, executing meetings and other special functions.
Maintains all administrative filing and budgetary records in order to accurately document various activities within the office including maintenance of records. Maintains daily reports related to payment of application fees and checks student accounts to ensure accurate reporting of payment. Oversees the record destruction of material as governed by the university General Records Schedule.
Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external constituents. Anticipates student needs and evaluates interests to provide the most appropriate information. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students through FERPA.
Counsels students and families with regard to undergraduate admission requirements. Assist with events hosted by the Office of Admissions as well as the Topper Orientation Programs.
Provides information about each step of the search and matriculation process including, but not limited to, inquiry, visits, application, admission, scholarships, financial-aid, housing and orientation. Stays current on campus events, highlights, and points of pride as well as regional and national trends in student recruitment.
Oversees communications from the department with regard to emails, phone calls, correspondence, etc. Serves as the social media contact and managing the various social media accounts for the department.
Supports the WKU Office of Admissions in its effort to recruit, admit, enroll, and orient students to WKU. Serves as a liaison between the Office of Admissions and campus operations offices such as Parking and Transportation, the WKU Restaurant Group, Housing and individual building operations staff. May be called upon to give presentations to a variety of demographics and sizes for both tour and recruitment events.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Effective written communication skills
One year of experience in a field that requires attention to detail
Additional Information:
Hourly Range: $15.18-$20.89
