Job Description: Elementary School Social Worker

Location: Bourbonnais, IL 60914

Duration: ASAP through June 3rd, 2025

Schedule: Full-Time, 5 days a week, in-person

Contract Hours: 7:35 AM – 3:00 PM

AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. This School Social Worker will support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development, providing direct and consultative services for students in preschool through 4th grade. This role works closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, focusing on the well-being of children and fostering positive outcomes for academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to students in need of social, emotional, or behavioral support, focusing on children in preschool, kindergarten, 1st grade, and a small number of 2nd-grade students.

  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized strategies to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.

  • Facilitate small group interventions aimed at developing positive social skills, coping mechanisms, and emotional regulation.

  • Assess student needs and participate in case management for students on the caseload, making recommendations for services, interventions, and referrals when necessary.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with identified social-emotional needs.

    Caseload:

  • 22 students receiving direct services.

  • 2 students receiving consultative services.

  • 4 general education students requiring check-ins and support.

    Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work

  • PEL License

  • IDFPR License
