Job Summary and Qualifications

As Plant Operations Lead at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both an expert in your field and a caregiver, providing important services for our patients and staff. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. You will joining an impressive team that prides themselves on keeping our hospital functioning safely. In this role:

  • You will be responsible for the ordering of parts and materials equipment and services according to hospital guidelines for cost, quality, and delivery.

  • You will ensure that hospital value analysis and contract compliance principles are followed in connection with purchases of materials and services.

  • You will provide technical assistance to staff on building operating systems and general operations.

  • You will be accountable for relevant hospital regulatory compliance.

  • You will create work orders for all outside vendors relating to repairs and preventative maintenance and follow up with vendors to ensure purchased services are performed when scheduled and as requested. You will respond to and follow up on safety complaints from employees, administrators, and visitors to the hospital and assure safety measures are taken as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) strongly preferred; must commit to actively obtaining certification (i.e. testing for certification annually).

  • Prior hospital plant operations experience required.

  • Expert knowledge in one of the skills listed below and basic knowledge of the following; Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Building Automation Systems, Door Hardware, Boilers, Steam Utilization, Chillers, Pumps, Heating Systems, Cooling Systems, OSHA Standards.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
