FIRST RF Project Manager in Boulder, Colorado

Summary

FIRST RF is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Project Manager with outstanding organizational and communication skills to join our team. Our mission is to develop and field enabling antenna and RF system products which support the needs of the DoD and critical commercial customers. As a part of the Program Management department you will represent the interests of FIRST RF and work on a variety of R&D and Production contracts, helping keep the Project Teams coordinated, informed and on track. Production volumes range in size from one-off prototype projects to full scale production orders with thousands of units. This role stands at the intersection of engineering, business, and leadership, and brings many skills to bear to ensure technical excellence, financial responsibility, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

Construct and control project plans and budgets that help teams drive key decision points. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the projects and related contractual, technical, and quality documentation. Maintain the project calendar. Balance the demands of several simultaneous projects Schedule project meetings and keep meeting minutes. Identify, track, manage, and resolve project issues. Ensure the Project Team is meeting stakeholder needs. Prepare the cost and schedule of proposals to win new programs for key pursuits. Coordinates and monitors the metrics of their projects. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules and develops solutions to project problems. Facilitate communication among production, engineering, quality, management, suppliers and customers. Collaborate with all teams to ensure that project goals and deliverables meet FIRST RF quality standards. Assess, monitor, document, and communicate on project scope and status, risks, and key learnings to project stakeholders. Ensure all team members understand their roles and are held accountable for meeting commitments. Drive change management processes, manage stakeholder expectations, communicate impact, and execute changes if applicable. Facilitate program communication and information flow by maintaining the project files. Coordinate resource allocation across a portfolio of projects. Coordinate with Contracts and Finance ensure compliance to federal acquisition regulations (FAR). Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers.

This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at least 40 hours per week. Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager's discretion. This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.

Qualifications Required Education and Experience

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance Reside in Colorado Excellent organizational and analytical skills and a detail-oriented problem-solving approach Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creating and delivering presentations A capacity to thrive in a self-motivated environment that has few boundaries and at-times conflicting priorities Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or relevant experience in technical leadership Ability to identify technic l, cost, and schedule risks/opportunities and to engage technical support appropriately A desire to find, explore, and solve new and challenging problems Preferred Education and Experience

A proven capacity to contribute to multidisciplinary engineering projects Experience in R&D and FAR proposal activities and development to customer requirements Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Other Duties
