Position Overview
Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for you to join our Advanced Space Processing (ASP) Operating Unit (OU) team as a Project Management Analyst, based out of Boulder, Colorado. This position will report to the OU’s Operations Manager and support the OU’s Program and Operations team in the planning and execution of Program Management Reviews (PMRs), assessing and monitoring staffing/seating needs across the OU, and executing innovative ideas as part of our operational efficiency program. The successful candidate will be a someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to support the teams intermediate and long-term objectives. The selectee will have excellent oral and written communication skills and will be adept at employee and customer engagement. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Essential Duties
Support company leadership and customer visits
Track and assist site expansions projects
Support new-hire onboarding
Organize employee engagement activities
Problem solve a wide range of day-to-day issues in support of our programs and workforce
This project manager will also have the opportunity to lead and/or support projects involving a matrixed, multi-function team that also includes program leadership, business management, contracting, global supply-chain, operational efficiency, facilities, security, and safety.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline plus 2 years’ experience in program management, program operations, business development, or other relevant experience, 0 years experience with Masters.
Active secret clearance or interim secret clearance
Demonstrated Project Management skills.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines
Possess strong strategic thinking skills and be able to work independently
Ability to coordinate across multiple functions and have demonstrated capability to work in a team environment.
Proficient with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications :
Enthusiasm and organizational skills suited to organizing employee activities.
Experience with Northrop Grumman cost accounting systems and processes.
Expertise in collaboration tools (Sharepoint, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools)
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman structure and policies
Experience working with Software Development teams, Additive Manufacturing, and Lab build-outs.
Salary Range: $73,900 - $110,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
