SciTec Kubernetes Administrator in Boulder, Colorado

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented administrator or developer who understands the intricacies of deploying secure Kubernetes environments; Red Hat OpenShift experience is a plus. They work well as a part of a team, prioritize the quality of their product, and seize opportunities to be creative, learn and grow.
Responsibilities
Deploy Kubernetes in an on-premises environment
Administer, maintain and monitor the Kubernetes clusters and hardware infrastructure
Design and manage the cluster layout, resources, and storage
Maintain and monitor the containerized platform services
Support and troubleshoot the cluster, containerized services, and infrastructure issues
Automate processes as needed
Work in collaboration with IT, product managers, and development teams
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field
At least two years professional experience building and maintaining Kubernetes environments
At least three years professional experience using Linux operating systems
Strong understanding of Ansible playbooks
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Strong Attention to Detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others to debug and solve problems
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred
Strong development experience using Podman, Docker, docker-compose, and/or Kubernetes
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform version 4+
Deploying and maintaining CI/CD solutions for DevSecOps such as gitlab-ci and Jenkins
Experience developing ansible playbooks for process automation
Experience with VMware compute, storage, and network configurations
Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
Dell server, switch and SAN configuration and maintenance
Scripting with bash, python, or perl

Flexible Work Hours
The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $138,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
