Position summary

 

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Engineer, Software is located in Bothell, WA will design, implement, and deploy scalable software to meet customer requirements and enhance networking solutions.

 

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
  • Support customer-facing and back-office systems for the business.
  • Oversee unit, integration, and performance testing for developed code.
  • Troubleshoot bugs escalated by business team and work with Application Operation team to software health.
  • Work with business team to understand system requirements and to design solutions.
  • Drive software development lifecycle for product support.
  • Identify and mitigate performance issues to avoid missing SLA project deadlines and to maintain application support.

     

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Skill requirements:

 

Must have professional experience in:

  • Using HCL Commerce, IBM Sterling Order management system, and Elastic Path to develop e-commerce applications.
  • Using Dockers and Kubernetes to create and orchestrate containerized applications.
  • Using S3 bucket and Glacier for object storage.
  • Executing serverless code through Lambda and EC2.
  • Developing Microservices using Angular, Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Using Oracle, Redis Cache, and Mango DB to order and manage customer-centric data.
  • Using Postman, SoapUI, Grafana, Splunk, and App. Dynamics to test and track health of APIs.

     

Experience and education requirements:

 

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

 

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or related, and 5 years of progressive, post bachelor's work experience.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
