About the role The Process Technician is responsible for managing all mold room and machine processes to assure we are making quality parts. This position reports directly to the Mold Room Supervisor and works under moderate supervision. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Relocation Assistance Offered to the Seattle, WA area! Responsibilities Verify that all molds, auxiliary equipment, and materials are set-up properly per job instructions Responsible for start-up/shut down of Injection Molding Equipment Verify all processes are within allowable parameters Diagnosis and troubleshooting of injection molding machines Diagnosis and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment Perform in-process inspection of injection molded components which includes visual inspection and/or dimensional measurement for conformance to requirements defined on drawings, Standard Inspection Plans, Visual Factory or other documents Generate production, move and scrap transactions as needed to ensure inventory accuracy Remove scrap and trash from manufacturing areas Monitor tooling conditions and notify tooling when mold is unable to produce quality parts or when preventative maintenance is required Perform insert changes Assist Mold Setter with setup of molds Serve as mold room lead Qualifications Knowledge of injection molding machine controls Knowledge of material drying and blending Knowledge of proper Lockout / Tagout procedures Understanding of basic math skills – adding, subtracting, measuring, etc. Ability to read drawings & blueprints Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format Ability to identify potential safety hazards Ability to identify non-conforming materials and components Ability to work effectively independently or in a team-oriented environment Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility Ability to coordinate the work of others Ability to successfully train others Physical Demands Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn Eye and foot protection may have to be worn Lifting weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis There is potential exposure to extreme temperatures The occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination May stand or sit for prolonged periods of time This is designated as a Safety Sensitive position Education & Experience High School education or GED required.
