Champions The Great Outdoors Camp Directors are passionate about promoting curiosity, exploration, and unplugged learning. As a Camp Director you will use our nationally recognized curriculum as a framework to create a unique and engaging camp experiences. Camp Directors value meaningful relationships with children, families, and their team. Successful Camp Directors are fully engaged, empowers confident counselors, enthusiastic about implementing nature-oriented camps, and eager to share their knowledge with others. When you join our team as a Camp Director you will: Recruit, lead, train, and supervise a team of counselors to create unique and engaging camp experiences, leverage and develop "best in class" counselors to be passionate and committed professionals Manage business portfolio and drive business decisions to improve revenue and family retention Ensure your camp is operating effectively, upholds top quality programs through utilization of provided resources; maintains high level of health and safety for all campers and counselors Promote a strong passion for outdoor activities and nature-oriented consciousness Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and experience for their children Cultivate positive relationships with families, counselors, state licensing authorities, community contacts and client partners Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts of new families and children in our camps by hosting hiring and enrollment eventsQualifications At least one year of summer camp experience as a lead with the ability to recruit, develop, engage, and inspire a team A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day Budget and financial accountability with revenue generation experience preferred Ability to build relationships with families and staff through friendly and positive communication Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with client partners, with potential daily interactions Self-sufficient requiring minimal guidance; resourceful and positively works through challenges Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively Strong conflict resolution, communication, and problem-solving abilities Must meet state specific guidelines for the role Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English Our benefits meet you where you are.
