At Humana, the Experience Transformation team is an experience-oriented, multi-disciplinary team that solves for customer needs while enabling strategic and operational goals. Joining our dedicated group of Product Designers, Experience Strategists and Experience Designers focused on consumer experience and supporting our suite of digital products, you would be responsible for creating exceptional user-centered digital experiences that achieve business goals and exceed user expectations across a wide range of digital experiences. The team is focused on integrating and developing best practices in usability, analytics, accessibility, and cross-platform strategy in an Agile development environment.
As the Senior Product Designer, you will:
Develop industry-leading, high-value digital experiences to simplify the provider and member experience
Know the business and how to speak the business' language
Translate consumer insights into modern experiences that meet our audience's needs
Serve as a primary point of contact for design and UX best practices with cross-functional partners in your workstream
Facilitate communication and collaboration between Product Designers, Content Strategists, Copywriters, and Researchers to ensure alignment of UX deliverables
Build consensus with key stakeholders, always representing the user point of view
Strike the balance between the ideal user experience and the realities of feasibility and delivery
Maintain deep understanding of the current product-business objectives, audience(s), roadmap, features, design trends and best practices, research, metrics, VOC and other measures, competitive landscape, and full Humana digital ecosystem
Partner with the User Research team to create long-term research strategy to facilitate ongoing discovery and iterative delivery
Partner with the Content Strategy team to continuously drive and improve content, navigation and site architecture
Lead creation of early design sketches and end state vision/design prototypes to help inform user experience strategy
Ensure that digital principles, standards, styles, design patterns, and renderings are followed and represented correctly
Maintain a prioritized list of needed improvements and maintenance items, initiating and leading efforts to complete these items
Understand and align to enterprise design standards, offering contributions to the design system when appropriate
Assist with team-building, onboarding, and mentoring UX team members assigned to the product

Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience as a Product Designer, User Experience Designer/Architect, User Interface Designer, or Interaction Designer
A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to strategically create compelling user experiences that factor in business goals, development capabilities, design standards and user needs (portfolio is required in order to be considered)
Strong understanding of interaction design principles and current and emerging UI/design patterns
Strategically adept with a penchant for curiosity; determined
Ability to prioritize and stay focused on fewer, bigger, better, and faster
In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
Experience designing with business, technical and design guideline constraints
Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to adapt existing processes and deliverables when necessary to meet project needs and improve efficiency and quality
Demonstrated ability to design complex transactional user interfaces and interactions
Experience creating conceptual models, site maps, interaction flows, design patterns, design specifications, taxonomies and metadata frameworks
Demonstrated experience in defining research criteria, leading or participating in user research, and translating user research into design decisions
Ability to track and predict industry trends
Experience creating interactive prototypes (e.g., Figma)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction or similar field; an advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Interface Design, Human Factors or Design Planning is preferred
Significant relevant work experience may substitute for an advanced degree
At least 2 years of experience integrating mobile/responsive design into Information and/or Experience Architecture
Self-starter who can make significant progress with minimal guidance
Experience creating inclusive and accessible designs
Experience designing digital experiences for senior adults
Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment
Must be extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities effectively
Blend of corporate and agency experience is a plus
Proficient with Figma, Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Sketch
Familiarity with online usability testing platforms such as UserZoom or Usertesting.com
Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$84,600 - $116,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
