Robert Half Sr. Accountant (Family office - onsite 5 days) in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Boston, Massachusetts. The role entails managing a variety of accounting tasks within a local, multi-family-based firm offering investment advising. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Perform key functions associated with managing a family office.

• Dispatch reports to clients featuring monthly investment performance.

• Facilitate the restructuring of family assets.

• Carry out tasks involving bill pay and capital calls, ensuring a preliminary review. • Assess diversification of portfolio meeting client risk tolerance and needs.

• Provide proficient management of cash resources.

• Produce and scrutinize monthly and quarterly financial statements.

• Compile diverse financial reports such as consolidated balance sheets and cash projection schedules.

• Maintain impeccable client records, including evidence of financial statements.

• Analyze client financial statements.

• Assess the performance of public investment portfolios.

• Prepare audit materials for private equity funds, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Supervise private equity transactions.

• Prepare high-quality family reports and presentations.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

• Experience with Great Plains or QuickBooks is preferred.

• Past experience in public accounting is desirable.

• Mastery in all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.

• Excellent accounting, reconciliation, and reporting skills.

• Proficient in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.

• Well-versed in professional client interaction.

• Capable of handling special projects independently.

• Motivated to participate and contribute to firm growth.

• Previous family office experience is a strong plus.
