Joining the Capacity and Performance Engineering team at Humana as a Senior Cloud Architect presents a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of optimizing and scaling infrastructure for healthcare solutions. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to ensure that systems are not only robust and efficient but also capable of meeting the dynamic needs of users and the healthcare industry. Working within a collaborative and innovative environment, you'll have access to state-of-the-art tools and technologies, help manage the domain architecture, drive technical solutions, and provide impactful contributions that lead to healthier membership.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to craft architectures that support strategic initiatives while ensuring high levels of data quality and process alignment.
Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls, including data sovereignty.
Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.
Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to capacity and performance.
Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
Domain architecture construction
Governance framework construction
C# development and architecture.
Cloud-Onprem Hybrid architecture
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role; experience in healthcare is an asset.
Strong knowledge of cloud computing and related technologies, with a preference for candidates with a professional certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Deep understanding of strategic IT solutions.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with a knack for problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree or Cloud certification
TOGAF or PEAF experience
Performance engineering experience in either database platforms or server environments
Capacity management experience in either database platforms or server environments

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$126,800 - $174,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
