OVERVIEW

The Senior Analyst, Private Credit Operations will be responsible for executing and supporting all operational activities within the private credit and real estate deal execution/settlement process, and lifecycle management (coupon/principal/fee payments), along with other corporate actions. This role will present the opportunity to work with multiple teams across the firm, including private investment valuation and operations, investment product and fund services, legal & compliance, tax, and information technology to develop and integrate private credit and real estate data & workflows into the newly designed private credit operating model. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will assist in the development and enhancement of core operational processes and controls. We are looking for someone with experience supporting private credit and real estate strategies across a broad range of operational functions who is also inquisitive, eager, and motivated to learn about new strategies emerging within the private credit and real estate industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all aspects of loan administration as a member of a dedicated operations team supporting several private credit and real estate strategies, including investment grade private placements, growth lending, commercial real estate debt, and specialty finance

  • Assist portfolio management and legal teams with deal closing activities and the coordination of transaction activity across portfolio management, fund administrators, agents, and loan administration service providers

  • Oversight of daily operations activities at external service providers to ensure timely and accurate asset servicing on internal and third-party platforms. This will include the setup of new issuer/deal records, credit facilities/securities, new trade/issuance booking, guideline monitoring, lifecycle activity, corporate actions, collateral & covenant monitoring, periodic reconciliations, and final disposition of all portfolio holdings

  • Analyze complex credit/note purchase agreements and identify critical attributes necessary to operationalize each deal we invest in

  • Understand investment guidelines across multiple client relationships and act as first line of defense for pre- and post-trade compliance monitoring

  • Review and resolve discrepancies on reconciliation reports - cash/position/security master – to ensure the investment book of record is in good order daily

  • Work with the investment team to update periodic security ratings, and track and upload financial statements into the vendor system

  • Participate in developing, refining, and documenting processes, procedures, guidelines, and controls that will govern all portfolio activity across private credit and real estate strategies

  • Assist with maintenance of data oversight of internal and external asset record keeping. Support the provision of ad-hoc and standard reports by slicing data and presenting several outcomes for internal stakeholders and clients

  • Participate in cross-functional projects including third-party service provider and technology vendor evaluation, technology implementation

  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices (LSTA) for loan, credit, and debt securities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-7 years supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of private credit and real estate investments, including experience reviewing private loan documents (credit agreements, amendments, etc.) for key terms, data points and operational nuances; settlements for private investments--including US and international money movement and physical certificate registration

  • A good understanding of private credit and real estate fund concepts across a range of strategies, including investment grade private placements, direct & venture lending, commercial real estate lending, and specialty lending

  • Experience with industry technology used in supporting private credit and real estate strategies (IVP [Indus Valley Partners]), Sentry-PM, Allvue, IHS Markit-WSO/ClearPar, CBRE, Citus, Midland, Keybanc for Real Estate), Geneva

  • Strong technical skills such as SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel macros

  • Intellectual curiosity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and time management skills with ability to prioritize work and function with minimal guidance

  • Ability to think critically to challenge the norm and propose new ideas and solutions

  • Effective articulation with written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create compelling presentations using MS PowerPoint

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 80,000 - 180,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
