The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).

The Sensor Configuration Management (SCM) Department is looking for a Configuration Analyst, located in Andover, MA

Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

What You Will Do:

  • CM tools for configuration identification, configuration control, and product release and delivery

  • Establish and maintain program CM systems

  • Release and manage configuration baselines

  • Execute and continuously improve all process steps required to maintain product baselines

  • Interface with cross functional business teams to provide solutions to a variety of technical challenges

  • Coordinate and lead Configuration/Change Control Boards (CCBs)

  • Support bids and proposal activities as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Two (2) years of related experience in data management or configuration management

  • Two (2) years of experience with Windchill PDM or related tools

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Experience working in a Engineering team environment, interfacing with Hardware, Systems or Test Engineers

  • Understands principles, standards and processes, such as described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard

  • Self-Starter, willing to learn new tools and work with a variety of technical and non-technical disciplines

  • Ability to pro-actively interface with team

  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple ongoing projects and parallel release activities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
