A comprehensive, multidisciplinary nutrition program within the Heart Center to facilitate identification of vulnerable patients and provide individualized, nutritional support to improve both short- and long-term outcomes. The program will provide new service lines in the form of prehabilitation, early NG discharge and tube weaning programs as well as enhance current services in both the outpatient (in-person and virtual) and inpatient (critical care and inpatient unit) settings. Our multidisciplinary team consists of a cardiac intensivist, gastroenterologist specialized in nutrition, advanced practice provider and dietitian with the possibility of team expansion in the coming year. Our team is looking for a program coordinator to help build and develop the program from an administrative and financial perspective as well as provide administrative aid in caring for the complex patients and their families.

The Program Coordinator I will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating activities and daily operations of a program.

  • May be preparing or assisting in the preparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.

  • Conferring with staff and others to provide technical advice, providing problem-solving assistance, and answering questions about the program and its goals. Referring inquiries to others as needed.

  • May be preparing or assisting in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.

  • May be reviewing program documents in conjunction with supervisor to potentially inform decision making pertaining to the program.

  • May be assisting in the coordination of recruitment efforts.

  • Drafting written communication and promotional literature.

  • May be assisting in planning workshops, meetings, or conferences; coordinating logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.

  • Interacting and maintaining liaison with staff, faculty, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.

Schedule: Fulltime, Hybrid, Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p

To qualify, you must have:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1 year of related experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively and with empathy, both orally and in writing

  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
