Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, such as faulty fuel systems or engine overheating
Conduct inspections of heavy equipment to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical systems in diesel engines
Repair or replace faulty parts in diesel engines, such as pistons, valves, or gaskets
Operate heavy equipment to test repairs and ensure proper functioning
Solder electrical connections and repair wiring harnesses as needed
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
Skills:
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of diesel engines
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in diesel engines
Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance
Knowledge of hydraulics and ability to repair hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus
Physical strength and ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
Correctly diagnose and repair equipment issues
Complete machine repair reports and document all needed information
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of Heavy Construction Equipment preferred
Work alone with a limited amount of supervision
Maximize the efficient use of service and repair processes to provide fast accurate repairs and minimize unnecessary expense
Efficiently utilize tooling and technical resources
Represent the company in a positive, professional manner
Communicate options to correct current problems
Class 8 and Heavy Equipment experience Preferred.

Position Requirements
3-5 years’ experience working with heavy equipment
Valid Driver’s License or Commercial Driver’s License
Valid DOT Medical Card
Ability to work in a team environment and take direction
