POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Account Manager prospects and penetrates existing and new accounts within a specified region or territory to identify and pursue product opportunities in a variety of processes and applications. This position manages all aspects of sales and support activities at those accounts and/or assigned territories and increases sales revenues and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies, qualifies, and pursues sales opportunities at existing and new accounts within assigned area
Coordinates activities to increase sales and establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction at all accounts
Penetrates all levels of assigned accounts on a face-to-face basis to ensure an intimate, timely, and firsthand knowledge of customer issues
Utilizes SFDC to manage and track all account activity and Design Win Opportunities
Produces quotations and books orders for all sales activity at assigned accounts
Provides an initial level of technical support at accounts
Arranges for advanced levels of support from AE customer service, applications, engineering, marketing, etc.
Develops account profiles, including competitive positions and sales volume, sales opportunities, company direction, decision makers, etc.
Produces and updates account strategies and tactics
Forecasts sales in accordance with AE processes and procedures
Works closely with AE Marketing and Engineering to ensure rapid response to opportunities and effective solutions to customer issues at account
Travels as needed to properly perform all aspects of duties for remote customers. Approximately 5% should be expected.
Performs other duties as requested
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is based in the Boston, MA area with access to work out of our Wilmington, MA office or a remote home office when not traveling to customers
Domestic and international travel as needed to achieve objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Salesforce.com
Proven sales aptitude and sales skills, both tactically and strategically
Results-oriented
Demonstrated sense of urgency and prioritization skills
Ability to comprehend and relate technical products and process specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to condense information into action lists
Ability to exercise strong follow-up on commitments
Strong team player
Good problem-solving skills and strength in managing conflicts
Computer literacy with confidence in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of semiconductor equipment or component sales/account management experience
Proven experience selling and/or supporting a variety of high-tech accounts or technology OEMs
Strong working knowledge of the thin film industry is very important - semiconductor, magnetic media, or advanced coatings
Prefer experience with vacuum science and plasma processing system
EDUCATION:
- BS in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $140,000 to $180,000 per year. Additionally, this position is eligible for the Sales Incentive Plan with a specific target amount to be determined based on the role.
