Description
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst Advanced in Boston, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will work in the industry, taking on various responsibilities, including the preparation of financial reports and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with the preparation of annual and quarterly financial reports in compliance with US GAAP SEC and other financial reporting requirements.
• Completing account reconciliations on complex areas of accounting.
• Overseeing the production of the Fund's quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to shareholders and filing with the SEC.
• Coordinating shareholder report mailings with transfer agent or distributor.
• Acting as the primary contact for client inquiries, requests and ad hoc projects on financial reporting issues.
• Participating actively in audits across multiple departments and responding to internal and external inquiries.
• Assisting in developing and adjusting department procedures and systems enhancements.
• Coaching and developing staff including formal objective setting, performance reviews and providing ongoing and regular feedback.
• Working with the Fund's legal counsel and outside auditors with regard to filings, examinations, and reporting.
• Providing the Fund's Board of Directors and Fund Management with timely, essential and accurate reporting of Fund operations.
• Overseeing correspondence for distribution
Requirements • Proficient in Communication, capable of effectively conveying information to various stakeholders.
• Strong skills in Reporting, able to create, manage, and maintain reports accurately and timely.
• Knowledgeable in Procedures, ensuring all operations align with company policies.
• Compliance oriented, ensuring all actions adhere to internal and external regulations.
• Experience in Auditing, capable of conducting thorough and precise financial checks.
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills, able to lead a team and manage projects efficiently.
• Familiarity with Hiring Processes, able to contribute to talent acquisition when necessary.
• Proven ability in Production, capable of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
• Experience in Correspondence, able to professionally interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Regulation, ensuring all actions are compliant with legal requirements.
• Negotiation skills, capable of reaching favorable agreements with various parties.
• Skilled in Implementation, able to put plans into action effectively.
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Familiarity with Financial Statement preparation and analysis.
• Expertise in Financial Reporting, able to provide accurate and comprehensive financial updates.
• Experience in Filing, ensuring all financial documents are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Strong Client Relations skills, maintaining positive relationships with all clients.
• Knowledge of Funds, able to manage and allocate resources effectively.
• Experience in Interviewing, capable of assessing potential hires effectively.
• Proficiency in GAAP Accounting, ensuring all financial actions align with accepted standards.
• Understanding of Business Process Functions, able to contribute to the improvement of company operations.
• CPA certification is required.
• Experience in Team Management, able to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Skills in Enhancement, able to identify and implement improvements in operations.
• Familiarity with Notices, able to effectively communicate important information to all relevant parties.
