Our BILH Laboratory Services group is hiring entry level and experienced Medical Laboratory Technicians and Medical Laboratory Scientists. Sign on bonuses are available for certain locations and shifts.

At Beth Israel Lahey Health, The Medical Laboratory Technicians or Medical Laboratory Scientists will prepare samples for analysis, use equipment to locate microorganisms, monitor tests and procedures, analyze the chemical content of fluids, match blood for transfusions, and test for drug levels in the blood.

Job Description:

The Medical Laboratory Technicians or Medical Laboratory Scientists will perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures in assigned areas. Assess and report acceptable results. Troubleshoot and document problems and out-of-control results to level of capability. Perform and document routine and monthly maintenance of laboratory instrumentation. Maintain inventory sheets in assigned areas and notify coordinator of needs. Maintain laboratory work areas in a clean and safe manner and notify supervisor of issues. Attend laboratory meetings and attend in service education meetings and educational seminars as requested and other duties as needed.

MLT / MLS Education/Experience/Registration/Certification Required

·Six months of experience in a laboratory environment. Two year Medical Lab Technician Program/Associates Degree. ASCP Eligible.
