Boston University DIRECTOR OF CAREER SERVICES & EMPLOYER RELATIONS, School of Hospitality Administration in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The Director of Career Services and Employer Relations provides personalized career development and job search support for School of Hospitality Administration (SHA) students and alumni. Responsibilities include managing the SHA Career Center and serving as the primary point of contact for students, alumni, employers and other stakeholders; advising/career counseling; planning and executing career programming including hospitality fairs, industry panels and classroom visits; cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing employers, overseeing SHA's work experience requirements, and providing accurate statistics on student interactions and outcomes.

Required Skills

Must have excellent presentation/communication skills. 5-7 years career advising/counseling experience, preferably in a university setting as an Assistant or Associate Director and familiarity with employment-based work authorization (CPT/OPT). Previous knowledge of the hospitality industry is a plus.

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Services or related field preferred. This is a full-time in-person position with one day WFH during the academic year.
