Insight Global Workday BI Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

A mid-size pharmaceutical company is seeking a remote Workday BI Analyst to join their team. This person should have experience with Workday and HR data. They should be able to do hands-on testing of reports using PowerBI as well as have the ability to write technical specs for development teams. They will be responsible for helping to build out HR metrics for an HR data warehouse. You will be working with both HR functional teams and technical teams to help with the following:

-Collaborate with HR business product owners and end users to understand data and analytics requirements.

-Analyze and triage the business requirements to understand scope and data sources

-Own the creation of functional requirement document detailing the metrics, KPIs and related data sources and translations as needed by the functional team.

-Collaborate with the overall project manager and Reporting workstream lead to manage scope and user feedback

-Collaborate with dev and engineering teams on delivery of data products

-Co-ordinate and manage testing cycles including user acceptance testing

Compensation:

$65.00/hr to $75.00/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience working as a Workday BI Analyst or similar role (responsible for collecting requested data from HR, building out technical specs for technical team, then testing the reports from the technical team using PowerBI)

-3+ years of experience working with Human Resources data including Workday data, Workday reporting, HR headcount reporting and costing

-Ability to collaborate with business product owners and users to understand data and analytics requirements

-Strong understanding of agile methodology and ability to convert business requirements into implementation ready Epics and user stories

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Familiar with the following: Oracle DB, SQL, Microsoft office suite -Hands on knowledge with data querying, data analysis, data mining, reporting and analytics

-Experience with or Exposure to Visier (HR tool)

-Hands-on experience with Snowflake

-Previous exposure to HR data warehouse project null
