Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with solid experience in coding invoices, vendor management, and proficiency with Workday software. This role involves maintaining and processing all the payable transactions of the company, interacting with vendors & suppliers, and supporting the accounting team in its daily operations. The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent organizational ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's Accounts Payable (AP) functions by validating, processing, and reconciling vendor invoices.

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval using coding techniques before payment.

  • Interact with vendors to maintain and manage relationships, resolve any discrepancies, and respond to their inquiries timely and professionally.

  • Utilize Workday software to process transactions, update vendor files, and maintain accurate ledgers.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and solve any pending issues in collaboration with the relevant department.

  • Prepare various financial reports related to expenses, payable accounts, and profit and loss statements.

  • Support the internal auditing procedures and ensure compliance with the company's financial policy

    Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable or General Accounting experience.

  • Proficient in coding invoices and managing vendors.

  • Recent experience with Workday software in an accounting setting

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage high volumes of data precisely and error-free.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proactive professional who can meet tight deadlines, and balance multiple priorities.
