Austin Industries Survey Helper-No Per Diem in Borger, Texas

Description

Utility Locator/Surveyor Helper

Assists surveyor in obtaining data pertaining to angles, elevation points, and contours to determine precise location and measurements used for construction and locating/marking underground utilities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Holds level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out stakes for construction and land surveys.

  • Calls out readings or writes station number and reading in notebook.

  • Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number or other identifying marks.

  • Marks measuring points with marking crayon or stakes.

  • Places stakes into ground at designated points using hammer and hatchet

  • Experience locating underground utilities.

  • Experience with calculator and computer.

  • May include working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions.

  • Requires working safely and following the rules with a good attitude.

  • Requires standing on feet and walking for extended periods of time.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 0-2 years of experience
