The Luma Division is established as the sustainment organization to support State of Idaho agencies and their employees in the use of the Luma system for day-to-day business operations.
Key Responsibilities
The IT Operations Senior Technician will work under the direction of the CSC Operations Manager. Your overarching responsibility will be to administer security access request fulfillment responsibilities, across multiple State Controller’s Office technology platforms, with an impeccable degree of accuracy, proficiency and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as the capacity to work unsupervised and complete tasks with tight deadlines. As a Senior Technician, analysis and customer service skills must be advanced.
Job Functions
• Fulfill security access requests, while maintaining comprehensive audit records.
• Monitor incident/problem/change activities that relate to security access and contribute to remedial conversations.
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to assist customers with questions related to system functionality.
• Assume content authoring responsibility of assigned Security Access Request technical processes, procedures, policies, training aids, and other resources that support employees.
• Collaborate with functional team subject matter experts to respond to requests as needed.
• Provide weekly status updates on your assigned work, projects, requests, and assignments to the TechOps Bureau Chief and SCO Executive Leadership.
Additional Functions
• Contributes to the positive performance of the Computer Services Center Division and the office.
• Demonstrates timely and consistent attendance.
• This is an in-office position, but candidates could work up to two remote days per week following a 90-day probationary period.
• Any additional duties as assigned by State Controller or his/her designee.
Qualifications
• IT Administration or Analytics experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation, excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong change and conflict management skills.
• Demonstrate an understanding of all SCO applications (finance, procurement, projects and grants, budget, HR, WFM, payroll, Townhall, Transparency, etc) or an eagerness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely for various activities, such as statewide SRA training or meeting participation.
• Collaborative team player who can give and receive constructive feedback, adapt to changing work priorities and deliverables, and think critically to ensure the delivery of appropriate training and support to employees.
• Self-starter with the initiative to proactively complete tasks and anticipate work needed for SCO processes, programs, trainings, and employee needs.
• Intermediate technology skills, including familiarity with ERP or cloud based financial systems, web applications, and active directory systems.
Skills and Competencies
• User Access Administrator: Proficient in maintaining user access needs based on incoming requests.
• Technical Writing: Strong communication skills. Job duties necessitate technical research skills and writing experience.
• General: Strong time management, interpersonal communication, accountability, collaboration, attention to detail and self-confidence.
